Nurturing Parenting Professional 3 Day Facilitator Training
A three-day Nurturing Parenting Facilitator training with Jennifer Moss entails hands on experience, of working inside the constructs, reviewing each topic from the core lessons of the Nurturing Parenting program. Jen walks you through real life examples teaching various NPP groups and home visitation, as well as experiencing over two dozen engagement activities with her style of teaching. Although she was trained under Stephen Bavolek directly, Jennifer’s focus is implementation, with a special emphasis on Self-Care and Communication skills. Be prepared to experience music, movement, partner sharing, crafts, intense experiential group work and activities, and powerful discussions. This is a trauma informed, strength based, needs based parent education training that is backed by 35 years of research and evidenced based credentials.This three day specialized professional workshop teaches the philosophy of nurturing parenting and how to implement and facilitate the Nurturing Parenting Programs, the Adult-Adolescent Parenting Inventory (AAPI) and Nurturing Skills Competency Scale (NSCS). These workshops address hands-on skills and experiential exercises to use with parents and their children.

Jen Moss, MA, MFT (she/her) is an Author, Motivational Speaker and a Nationally Recognized Child Abuse Prevention Specialist.
Prior to moving to Portland, Jennifer worked with families on the island of Maui, Hawaii for twelve years. In addition, she is a licensed Marriage & Family therapist who specializes in DCFS and CPS/High Risk family disputes, custody, domestic violence and addiction. Her other therapeutic specialties involve Integrative health, sex therapy, sexuality, trauma and couple’s work. non-violent communication dialogue. She has worked in the field of mental health and social services for over 25 years!
After ten years of single parenting, Jennifer has learned a few things about raising two children in the midst of life’s challenges. With humor and inconsistent grace, and knowledge, she relies on her own experiences of nurturing parenting and in her own words, is “continuously creating the parenting survival tool kit”.
